I retch a little everytime an otherwise intelligent, individual, strong woman meets a new boyfriend, gets engaged, married, etc. and then changes her profile picture on FB to one of her and her man. usually the man is the focus of the picture. Ooh, look, there’s that intelligent individual lurking in the background or in some other subservient pose. Yay!

You don’t see many guys doing this. What does this say about gender roles? Quite a bit, I think.
